Mt. Kisco, NY - Pop sensation Natasha Bedingfield will perform in a free concert at Playland Park on Thursday, August 14, 8 p.m., at the Music Tower Theater. The show is sponsored by 95.5 WPLJ radio and Westchester County Parks.
Released in 2004 Bedingfield’s first album, Unwritten, showcased primarily up-tempo pop songs influenced by R&B music with hits such as “These Words” and “Single.” The recording sold more than 2.5 million copies worldwide and landed the singer a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for the song “Unwritten” in 2007. Her second album, N.B. (2007), yielded the singles “Soulmate”" and "Say It Again.” To date, she has achieved five top-ten singles in the U.K. and sold more than 10 million records worldwide.
Her most recent album Pocketful of Sunshine was released in January, 2008, and became a Top Three album in the United States. It includes the singles "Love like This," featuring Sean Kingston, a Top 20 hit, as well as "Pocketful of Sunshine," whose recent success has brought it to the top ten charts.

Playland, now celebrating its 80th season, is owned and operated by Westchester County Parks. Playland Park is America’s first totally planned amusement park and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987.
Admission to Playland and the concert is free; weekday parking is $5 per car. The park will be open an extra hour, until 11 p.m.
Seating is limited. Bring blankets and chairs for lawn seating.
