White Plains, NY - If you enjoy live music and theatre events, you won’t want to miss Live on Central, the Music Conservatory of Westchester’s annual season of concerts, performances, and master classes by faculty members, guest artists, and students.
This year’s exciting program lineup kicks-off with “French Composers for the Flute,” featuring Harold Jones, flute, and Michael Bunchman, piano, on Friday, October 24 at 7 p.m. in the Conservatory’s Helen Demetrios and Michael Stadther Recital Hall.
The Live on Central season is comprised of four separate series designed to entertain and enlighten audiences of all ages. Stars on Central showcases the artistry of the Conservatory’s expert faculty in interactive, educationally themed performances; Masters on Central allows audiences to observe accomplished professionals in music and musical theatre nurture the next generation; Students on Central highlights the hard work and dedication of the Conservatory’s talented students; and Kids on Central offers children a fun, informative, and hands-on introduction to the musical instrument families.
Tickets for all Live on Central events, except for Students on Central, are $15; $10 for students and senior citizens; and free for Conservatory students and faculty. Students on Central performances are free and the public is always welcome. For tickets or more information, call the Box Office at (914) 761-3900 x155. All tickets are held at the door and may be retrieved one half-hour before a concert. Reservations are recommended.

In addition to its Live on Central season, the Music Conservatory of Westchester also presents a Noonday Getaway series in conjunction with Downtown Music at Grace. Concerts are free, open to the public, and held at Grace Church, 33 Church Street in White Plains, NY. The first performance, “Harp and Horn,” will feature Conservatory faculty members Alyssa Reit, harp, and Peter Reit, French horn, on Wednesday, October 22 at 12:10 p.m.

About the Music Conservatory of Westchester
Founded in 1929, the Music Conservatory of Westchester is a non-profit community school of the arts, providing music, musical theatre education, and music therapy for people of all ages and abilities. The Conservatory’s 36,000-square-foot facility in White Plains offers a Recital Hall and 43 acoustically designed classrooms and teaching studios. Their comprehensive programs, which serve 3,500 students annually, include performing ensembles, musicianship classes, student performances, master classes, workshops, and more. All students receive free admission to the Conservatory’s annual series of faculty recitals and children’s concerts.
