Manhattanville College Announces April 26 Concert |

 Purchase, NY - On Saturday evening, April 26, 2008, the Manhattanville College Music Department will present a concert featuring the Manhattanville College Community Jazz Ensemble and Wind Ensemble under the direction of Terry Reynolds, Manhattanville’s Small Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Jay Azzolina, and the newly formed Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Ron Vincent.
The concert will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the new Student Center for Creative Arts on the College’s Campus at 2900 Purchase Street, Purchase, NY. Admission is free and open to the public.
The program will include: jazz arrangements by Herbie Hancock, Cole Porter, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillepsie plus other Jazz standards; wind selections by Percy Grainger, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Jack Stamp; and Brazilian and Cuban rhythms by the Percussion Ensemble.
