Purchase, NY - The Music Conservatory of Westchester’s Spring Ensembles Concert, held recently at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College, celebrated a semester of hard work with musical performances by students in the Conservatory’s classical, jazz, and rock ensembles.
The eclectic program highlighted a wide variety of musical genres – from Beethoven to Broadway.
Students of all ages (5 years through adults) showcased what they learned this spring in an entertaining program for audience members young and old. Participating ensembles included the Conservatory’s Youth Chorus, Suzuki Violin and Guitar groups, Chamber Ensembles, Junior Strings, Chamber Strings, Teen Vocal Ensemble, Rock Bands, Jazz Bands, and the Chamber Orchestra.
In honor of the Conservatory’s 80th anniversary this fall, plans are currently underway for a year-long series of celebrations. The Conservatory is seeking former students, faculty, and staff to share their experiences for use in one of the many special publications tied with anniversary festivities.
