Yorktown Heights, NY - The members of the Saline Fiddlers travel the world showing what happens when old-time fiddling meets the polished sound and energy of a professional stage show. On Tuesday July 1, the group will be making their only New York appearance at the Yorktown Stage in Yorktown Heights.
This benefit performance, presented by Jenna’s Dream, will showcase these youth fiddling maestros and their contemporary bluegrass music, along with special guest Art Halperin and his band ‘Work of Art’.
The Saline Fiddlers are America's premier youth fiddling show band featuring a 30-piece, semi-professional, touring fiddle band of music students from Saline High School in Saline, Michigan. They present an upbeat, lively show from the traditions of American folk fiddle, bluegrass, western swing and Celtic music, blending traditional fiddle tunes with a philharmonic size wave of sound.
The special evening concert will also feature Yorktown’s favorite award-winning songwriter, singer, composer, producer Art Halperin and his band ‘Work Of Art’. Playing their own uniquely styled music, they have successfully toured throughout the US, Europe, South America, and the Caribbean, both headlining and opening for many acts such as Santana, Jerry Garcia, The Police, and others.
