Jazz, Wind And Percussion Concert In Purchase |

 Purchase, NY - On Thursday evening, December 4, 2008, the Manhattanville College Music Department will present a concert featuring the Manhattanville College Community Jazz Ensemble and Wind Ensemble under the direction of Terry Reynolds, Manhattanville’s Small Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Jay Azzolina, and the Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Ron Vincent.
The concert will take place at 8:00 p.m. in the Creative Arts Center on the College’s Campus at 2900 Purchase Street, Purchase, NY. Admission is free and open to the public.
The program will include jazz arrangements by Count Basie, Dizzy Gillespie Horace Silver, Juan Tizol, Wayne Shorter, Duke Jordan plus other Jazz standards;
wind selections by Johann Sebastian Bach, Girolamo Frescobaldi, Alberto Ginastera and J.C. Heed; and percussion selections by Michael LaRosa and William Schinstene.
