Ironman Film At Tibbetts Brook Park

Westchester Arts & Entertainment NewsMt. Kisco, NY - A comic book super-hero will “save the day” on the big screen when “Summer Movie Madness” takes over Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers on Tuesday, July 21, with a showing of the hit film Ironman (2008-PG-13).

This event offers an evening of fun for the family with an old-fashioned all-you-can-eat barbecue, along with a hit movie outdoors at dusk. The party begins at 7 p.m.; the barbecue runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; the movie begins at sundown. Bring your own blankets and chairs for seating on the lawn.

Admission is $10 per person, free for children under the age of 3. A Westchester County Park Pass is not required for admission to the party. Admission wristbands go on sale the day of the event and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.

Please note that no swimming will be permitted during this party, as the pool is closed for renovations this summer.
Based on a popular Marvel comic book series, Ironman tells the story of wealthy playboy and industrialist Tony Stark who is forced to build an armored suit after a life-threatening incident, and ultimately decides to use its technology to fight against evil. Running time for the movie is 126 minutes.

“Summer Movie Madness” continues with a showing of Inkheart (2008 – PG) on Wednesday, July 29, at Glen Island Beach in New Rochelle; Kung Fu Panda (2008 – PG) on Tuesday, August 4, at Willson’s Waves Pool in Mount Vernon; and The Tale of Despereaux (2008 – G) on Tuesday, August 11, at Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains.

Tibbetts Brook Park is located on Midland Avenue in Yonkers and can be reached via the Cross County Parkway. Take the Midland Ave/Yonkers Ave exit, make a right and the park is ¾ mile on the right.
