 Scarsdale, NY - Hoff-Barthelson Music School is delighted to present organist Kathryn Jones in an HB Artist Series Recital on Sunday, November 23 at 4 pm at the Community Baptist Church, Popham and Autenrieth Roads in Scarsdale.
Ms. Jones will be joined on her program by guest tenor Brandon McReynolds.
Ms. Jones, a performer, teacher and conductor, is an accomplished organist who is known throughout the Westchester area. She is Director of Music Ministries at Huguenot Memorial Church in Pelham where she directs the handbell, children and adult choirs. She was the Dean at the Yonkers Music Academy and the Mt. Vernon Music Academy, both of them outreach programs of the Hoff-Barthelson Music School.
The recital program includes Pièce d’orgue, BWV 572 by J.S. Bach; If With All Your Hearts (from Elijah) sung by Brandon McReynolds. Mendelssohn’s Sonata III in A major, Op. 65; Selections from Suite du Deuxieme Ton by Louis-Nicolas Clérambault ; Jean Langlais’ Selections from Suite médiévale ; Franck’s Panis Angelicus performed by Mr. McReynold; and Franck’s Pièce Héroïque.
The Hoff-Barthelson Music School, one of Westchester County’s most cherished and active cultural resources, has achieved national recognition as a premier community music school for its unsurpassed leadership in education, performance and outreach for more than half a century.
