Scarsdale, NY - The Hoff-Barthelson Music School is pleased to present flutist Joseph Piscitelli on its HB Artist Series, The Faculty in Performance, on Friday, November 16 at 8:00 pm, at the Scarsdale Community Baptist Church, Popham and Autenreuth Roads, Scarsdale.
Mr. Piscitelli will be joined on the program by fellow faculty artists Eriko Sato, violin; Chi-Chi Lin, viola Michael Finckel, cello; and guest artist Dominique Soucy, flute.
The program for the November 16 recital includes Haydn’s Trio No. 1 in C Major; Mozart’s Quartet in D Major, K. 285; Rossini’s Quartet No. 1 in G Major; and Villa-Lobos’ Assobio A Játo (The Jet Whistle.)
Joseph Piscitelli began his solo career at age sixteen with recitals at Town Hall and Alice Tully Hall. He was the winner of the Artists International Competition and was presented in his debut recital at Weill Recital Hall in 1989. He has appeared as soloist in a series of performances with the New York Chamber Orchestra and the Long Island Philharmonic, and has performed with the Mostly Mozart Festival. He has also appeared with numerous ensembles, including Musica Sacra and Solisti New York, and is a veteran performer of of many Broadway show orchestras. He is the Woodwind Department coordinator at the Music School.
