Bronxville Library To Celebrate Bloomsday |

Yonkers, NY - An observance of Bloomsday, the fabled trip through Dublin in 1904 by Leopold Bloom, will be held Sunday, June 15 in the Bronxville Public Library, Pondfield Road.
Bloom was the main character in James Joyce's epic novel Ulysses. The event will feature readings and interpretations from 1 to 5 pm.
Admission is free and open to the community. Refreshments will be served.
The observance is being held in collaboration with Sarah Lawrence College , whose president, Karen R. Lawrence, is a Joyce scholar and former President of the International Joyce Foundation. Among the readers will be Vicki Ford, Eastchester Town Councilwomen, and Bronxville Village Justice George McKinnis.
Justice McKinnis said, "It is our hope that this celebration will become a tradition and add to the literary offerings in the southern tier of Westchester County ."
