Mt. Kisco, NY - The beautiful and abundant gardens and trees at Lasdon Park and Arboretum give inspiration to the art students who take drawing and painting classes there all year long. And, their work will be on display during a Botanical Art Show, which opens on Saturday, December 6 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Main House at the park in Somers.
Visitors can browse dozens of works created in graphite, colored pencil and watercolor by students of Laura Gould, a resident botanical art instructor at Lasdon.
After opening day the show can be viewed on Saturdays, December 12 and 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
While at Lasdon, stop by the Garden Shop, which will be fully stocked with colorful poinsettias and gardening-related holiday gift items starting December 5 during the shop’s regular hours, Wednesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
All proceeds from Garden Shop sales and a portion of the proceeds from botanical art sales benefit the Lasdon Glass House Conservatory project of the Friends of Westchester County Parks, Inc.
