Bedford Chamber Concerts Launches 8th Season |

Bedford, NY - Bedford Chamber Concerts launched their eighth season to a capacity crowd of enthusiastic audience participants. Renowned musician, conductor and composer, Anthony Newman, performed chamber music classics of Bach and Teleman on harpsichord supported by flute soloists Eugenia Zukerman and Tara Helen O’Conner and performers of the Bedford Chamber Ensemble.
“The Bach Concerto in D minor was absolutely electric,” said Nancy Cody of New York. “To be able to hear such splendid music in the kind of atmosphere that is provided here makes it marvelously special,” said Janine Selendy of North Salem.
“This venue is very valuable to the community,” said Paul Thomasset of Bedford, “The acoustics of the room, Mr. Newman, the music he plays is absolutely perfect for this space.”
The concert launched a six concert season continuing a “Grand Tour” theme focusing on compositions from the capitols of great chamber music with offerings on November 19 – Paris & Petits Fours, December 10 – Venetian Holiday with Vivaldi, March 18 - solo piano concert, April 1 – Viennese Spring and May 6 – Festival Finale in London. All concerts are at 8:00pm in the Fellowship Hall at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 382 Cantitoe Street, Bedford, NY. Tickets prices range from $30-$40. For reservations call 914-234-9636.
