At 4:00 and 8:00 p.m., the more experienced Be Musicals casts, featuring performers in 2nd through 9th grades, will perform an hour long version of the classic tale, also at the Grinton Will Library.  Admission to each of these 2 performances is $5 per person, with tickets available at the door.

Founded by director/producer Kim Breden, Be Mused Productions offers 3 unique workshops for kids of all ages and skill levels each season, including an opportunity unknown in the area – Family Musicals!   Mom or Dad can perform along side their child in easy to learn, condensed classic Broadway shows from the KIDS series.  Family Musicals! meets for an hour a week for 8 weeks and concludes with a “mini” performance.

Wee Musicals! are ideal for children grades K-2.  These workshops emphasize fun and musical theatre skills for beginners. Be Musicals! are open to children grades 1-9, and are fully licensed, classic Broadway shows that have been professionally adapted into easy to learn hour long “mini-musicals”.  All children receive a role with speaking lines and solo singing.  Workshops take place for 8 weeks each season, meeting on Saturdays or Sundays and conclude with a “mini” performance.

In all three types of workshops, children learn musical theatre craft and skills such as stage deportment, memorization, projection, and excellent diction.  Workshops are conducted in a traditional musical theatre setting with a director, musical director and choreographer.  All aspects of stage production will be introduced, including learning lines, developing characters, comprehending blocking/staging, practicing choreography/dance steps, learning music and healthy vocal technique.
