Mt. Kisco, NY - You’ve seen him on TV as a third-place finalist on the 2006 season of “American Idol” and now is your chance to see him perform on the Music Tower Theater stage when Playland Park in Rye presents Elliott Yamin live in concert for free on Thursday, August 7, at 8 p.m.
Best known for his appearance on the hit show “American Idol” and his hit single “Wait for You,” Elliot Yamin’s self-titled album debuted at the number one spot on the Billboard Top Independent Albums chart and the number three spot on the Billboard 200. His album was certified gold in the United States in October of 2007.
Yamin has also made appearances on several talk shows, including “The Tonight Show” and “Live with Regis and Kelly,” and has performed internationally at concerts in Europe, Africa, and Asia.
The concert is sponsored by 95.5 WPLJ, Pepsi Cola, Manhattan Beer Distributors, Friends of Westchester County Parks and CulinArt.
Playland, now celebrating its 80th season, is owned and operated by Westchester County Parks. Playland Park is America’s first totally planned amusement park and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987.
Admission to Playland and the concert is free; weekday parking is $5 per car. The park will be open an extra hour, until 11 p.m.
Seating is limited. Bring blankets and chairs for lawn seating.
