 White Plains, NY - The City of White Plains Youth Bureau will offer its second Youth Leadership Academy class beginning January 23, 2008.
The Academy is collaboration between the City of White Plains, The White Plains Youth Bureau, Berkeley College, and the African American Leadership Forum. The program will begin on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, 4:00 p.m. to 5: 30 p.m. at Berkeley College located at 99 Church Street, White Plains, New York.
The purpose of the Leadership Academy is to provide youth of promise with skills, tools, competencies and opportunities to develop their leadership skills. Among the core elements are, Leadership, Community Mapping, Community Service, Problem Solving and Goal Setting, Communication Skills, and Team Work.
