WJCS Support For Widowed Or Separated/Divorced |

 White Plains, NY - Have you been widowed recently or are you in the process of separation and divorce? Support is only a phone call away.
The Widowed-to-Widowed Network and the Separated/Divorced Women's Connection are telephone support programs designed to help people through these major, painful life-changing situations.
Over the past two decades more than 2,000 people have turned to these non-sectarian programs offered by Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) to be connected with a "telephone buddy" - someone who has been widowed or divorced him/herself and can truly offer unique understanding of the pain, fear, emptiness and confusion the loss brings.
Telephone buddies go through a special training during which they learn the value of listening. Then they are "matched" with people newly experiencing separation or widowhood. The phone calls are made from the comfort and privacy of their homes at times that are mutually agreeable to the parties involved.
