Torah Scribe Workshop In Somers |

 Somers, NY - Rabbi Kevin Hale, a Northampton, Mass.-based rabbi who restores Torah scrolls, will present a Torah scribe workshop at Hebrew Congregation of Somers, Sunday, March 2, 11am-noon.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the tools, materials, techniques and rituals behind the writing and restoration of Torah scrolls, learn about different styles of writing, and try out writing with Kosher ink and a quill. A former toymaker, Rabbi Hale directs the Ray Torah Institute and serves as campus rabbi at Hampshire College.
