 White Plains, NY – The Mark Brent Dolinsky Memorial Foundation, a charity that seeks to benefit Westchester adolescents, is planning its first ever teen talent showcase, entitled THE MARK SHOW – Where Teens Get to SHOW Their Stuff.
The event will be held on Saturday night, April 12, 2008 at White Plains High School auditorium, beginning at 7:30pm. Tickets are now on sale through the charity’s website.
The Organizing Committee of The Mark Show is actively soliciting teen talent acts, which may include singing acts, dancing acts, comedy skits, a capella groups, band ensembles, and so forth. Performances may be by individual teens or groups of teens. Further information on who is eligible, how long acts may be, and so forth can be found at www.dolinskyfoundation.org/FAQs.php.
This promises to be an exciting evening as the audience itself will serve as the judges, as teens compete for cash prizes of $500, $250, and $100.
About The Mark Brent Dolinsky Memorial Foundation
The Mark Brent Dolinsky Memorial Foundation was established by the Dolinsky family following the tragic death of their 15 ½ year old son, Mark. The Foundation has since been a living memorial to Mark, whose organs were donated to needy recipients at the time of his death.
The Foundation continues, as it has since 1981, to fund worthy projects and programs benefiting Westchester teenagers, in a variety of ways. It has awarded more than $275,000 and touched more than 4,000 lives since its inception. About The Mark Show
The genesis of the idea for The Mark Show came from an extremely popular annual event at White Plains High School - The Jiggy Showcase. The Foundation is looking to extend this idea to adolescents throughout Westchester. Since the audience will serve as the judges - actually, a rotation of multiple audience members throughout the performance - we envision rousing audience participation and an awesome time to be had by all!
