Rye, NY - Community Synagogue has scheduled their second annual Women's Seder, created by women for women, for Thursday, April 3rd at the Synagogue, 200 Forest Avenue in Rye.
The event, which will be held from 5:45 p.m. to 9 p.m., is a cooperative effort under the leadership of Women of Reform Judaism/Sisterhood, and will be led by Cantor Ellen Dreskin.
This groundbreaking event is described as a Seder that celebrates women, told in their own voices. The Haggadah used is like a mirror reflecting back the message, hope and rituals of the traditional Seder, recognizing what women give to the world, to their communities, their families and each other.
The Women's Seder is open to girls and women ages 8 and up; for more information, contact the Synagogue office at 967-6262.
