New Israel Fund’s Executive Director To Speak At WRT |

Scarsdale, NY - Eliezer Ya’ari, Executive Director of the New Israel Fund in Israel, will be the featured speaker at Shabbat evening services on Friday, September 19 at 7:45 p.m. at Westchester Reform Temple (WRT) in Scarsdale.
Born in Jerusalem, Ya’ari joined the Israel Air Force following the 1967 war, serving as a combat pilot. Before retiring in 1976 with the rank of Major, he participated in hundreds of combat missions, served as an instructor in the Air Force Academy, and was a pilot with the acrobatic team of the IAF.
Ya’ari then joined the staff of the Israel Broadcasting Authority and in 1992 became Director of Programs, a position he held for three years.
Before joining the New Israel Fund in 1997, Ya’ari studied Public Administration as a Wexner Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
