Kung Fu Panda To Show At Willson’s Waves

Kisco, NY - The adventures of a an irreverent panda who is presented with a date with destiny will entertain when the movie Kung Fu Panda (2008- PG) is screened during the fourth “Summer Movie Madness” pool party this summer on Tuesday evening, August 4, at Willson’s Waves Pool in Mount Vernon.

This old-fashioned after-hours pool party offers an evening of fun for the family with an old-fashioned all-you-can-eat barbecue, along with a hit movie outdoors at dusk.

The party begins at 7 p.m.; the barbecue runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; the movie begins at sundown. Bring your own blankets and chairs for seating on the lawn. Please note that swimming will be permitted during daylight hours only; no swimming is allowed during the movie.

Admission is $10 per person, free for children under the age of 3. A Westchester County Park Pass is not required for admission to the party. Admission wristbands go on sale the day of the event and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.

Kung Fu Panda is an animated comedy about a lazy, slacker panda named Po (voiced by Jack Black), who must somehow become a Kung Fu Master in order to save the Valley of Peace from a villainous snow leopard, Tai Lung. Running time for the movie is 95 minutes.

“Summer Movie Madness” concludes with a showing of The Tale of Despereaux (2008 – G) on Tuesday, August 11, at Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains.

Willson’s Waves is located on East Lincoln Avenue in Mount Vernon and can be reached via the Hutchinson River Parkway.
