Scarsdale, NY - On Friday, November 7, 14 and 21, Westchester Reform Temple (WRT) in Scarsdale will host a series of three classes for parents of preschool and elementary school-aged children.
Led by Cantor Mia Fram Davidson, Assistant Cantor of Westchester Reform Temple, the classes will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 11:00 a.m.
Offering traditional Jewish insights into modern parenting, these interactive sessions will address such topics as family celebrations of Shabbat and holidays; making your family life more meaningful through Jewish rituals; talking to your kids about Judaism, God, death and other “tough” subjects; and the “December” dilemma.
Having joined the clergy team at Westchester Reform Temple as cantorial intern in the summer of 2006, Cantor Davidson was formally invested as a cantor in 2007 by the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. In January, 2008, she was installed as Assistant Cantor of Westchester Reform Temple. Cantor Davidson lives in Armonk, New York with her husband, Rabbi Joshua Davidson, and their daughter, Helena.
This event is free and open to the public at Westchester Reform Temple, which is located at 255 Mamaroneck Road in Scarsdale, NY. For directions or information, call the Temple at 914-723-7727, or email:
