Bronxville, NY - Gramatan Village, a not-for-profit corporation founded by a group of Bronxville residents, will celebrate its opening at the Reformed Church in Bronxville on Sunday, April 27th at 4:00 PM. All are invited.
Gramatan Village’s Chairman John Corry and Executive Director Julie Dalton will welcome members and prospective members, Bronxville’s mayor Mary Marvin, other local politicians, community leaders and friends. Refreshments will be served and entertainment will be provided by the musical group, The Song Pipers.
Modeled after the highly successful Beacon Hill Village in Boston, Gramatan Village will provide access to a wide variety of programs and services to enable members to continue to live comfortably and confidently in their own homes without feeling compelled to move to retirement facilities.
Services available to members will include social and educational events, discounts from local businesses, assistance with transportation and home nursing care and expedited entrance to a highly regarded assisted living facility should that become necessary. Gramatan Village will keep its members up to date on issues of particular interest to older individuals through educational seminars, workshops and newsletters.
Gramatan Village membership is open to residents of the greater Bronxville area for an annual fee of $480 for a household of two and $360 for individuals. Special reduced rate memberships are available for those of modest means.
