The Greenburgh Nature Center (GNC) staff and volunteers are presenting “Scarecrows and Pumpkins Parade” family-fun activities on Sunday, October 26th. The activities run from 12:30 to 3 p.m.
Everyone is encouraged to come in their Halloween costumes and take a walk along the Nature Center’s trails to see the beautiful fall foliage and the colorful scarecrows (some of them living!) and pumpkins along the way. Friendly costumed characters will interact with paraders, and will lead visitors along the woodland trails. All walkers will be rewarded with a treat bag and cider.
Other activities include face painting, tattoos and a visit with some of the Nature Center’s live animals.
Tickets can be purchased in advance through Thursday, October 23rd, for a fee of $4 for Greenburgh Nature Center members and $7 for non-members; fees the day of the event are $6 for Greenburgh Nature Center members and $9 for non-members.
This event is sponsored in part by Commerce Bank, Apple Bank, Sotheby’s, Trader Joe’s, and Westchester County Parks.
