First Annual Latino Expo In White Plains

Westchester Community NewsWhite Plains, NY - El Aguila del Hudson Valley is Celebrating its 10th anniversary as the leading bilingual newspaper circulation for the Latino community of the Lower and Mid Hudson Valley areas.

El Aguila del Hudson will be closing the Hispanic Heritage month with the first of its kind, a two day Latino Business Symposium and Expo, October 14th and 15th at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains, NY. The announcement was made by Miguel Blanco, President and CEO of Blanco Media Group also serving as Producer and Director of the event. 

This event is designed to establish a communication bridge between mainstream America and the growing Latino market. The objective is to raise awareness about the benefits that exists in the Latino market.  Included in this two-day event are informative forums, dialogues on business initiatives, advice on health care, educational workshops, energy conservation, and environmental issues that affect all of our communities every day. The Latino Business Symposium & EXPO is part of a national effort to draw attention to the numerous opportunities that exist within the multi-cultural communities as a whole.

The two day event will consist of the following:

Day One - October 14th, 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM - will open with a discussion over breakfast: "Who we are and where are we going."

Open Forum:
Health - 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM - Breaking down the language barriers to health care.

Education - 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM - The high school drop out rate: Building creative solutions
11:00 AM - 12:15 PM - The current need of universal health care
11:00 AM - 12:15 PM - Striving for academic excellence

Lunch Symposium -12:30 PM - 2:30 PM - The importance of effective Outreach to the Latino Population

Workshops:
Health - 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM - Providing access to specialty medical service
Education - 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM - Making the leap from academics to the work force
5:30 PM - 7:30 PM - Networking Event - "El Savor De Latino America " at Berkeley College

DAY TWO: - October 15th, 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM - will open with a discussion over breakfast: "The City of White Plains and Latino business and professionals"

Workshops:
Marketing - 10:30 AM - 12:15 PM - Creating a Powerful Marketing Campaign that targets the Latino Market
Expo and Job Fair - 10:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Luncheon - 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM - Finding solutions to your financial capital needs for your growing business
