Dobbs Ferry, NY - In '03 it was a giant Lego Menorah, in '04 a breathtaking Menorah sculpture out of 8000 cans, in '05 a twelve foot balloon Menorah, in ’06 the world’s largest edible Menorah made out of doughnuts and chocolate. What's next?
“FIRE ON ICE”! An unbelievably large Ice Menorah will be sculpted and lit at Chabad’s Chanukah party this year, on Sunday, December 9th, at 3:30 PM. The festivities will also include holiday crafts for kids, refreshments, music, and an ice carving show.
“The message of Chanukah is bringing light and warmth into this sometimes cold and frightening world we live in. What better way to display that message that with FIRE ON ICE!” says Rabbi Benjy Silverman.
The party will take place at 303 Broadway in Dobbs Ferry and is at no charge. “It’s a community celebration that young and old will enjoy alike” says Silverman.
