Mt. Kisco, NY - Visitors are invited to look at one of Westchester County’s most beautiful parks in a whole new light during Native American Lore, a thrilling collection of stories and journeys, at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson on Friday, July 10, at 7:30 p.m.
The event features narratives told by storyteller Jonathan Kruk recalling the hauntings and history of Croton Point through the eyes of Hendrick Hudson and the Native Americans who once lived there. Visitors will travel across some of the 504 beautiful acres of the park, stopping to see the freshwater ponds tucked away among dense forest, historic wine cellars that face Croton Bay, and Teller’s Point, the southernmost tip of the park, which offers visitors a one-of-a-kind view of the Hudson River.
Visitors will meet in front of the Kitchawan Lodge (Recreation Hall), just past the Croton Point RV park.
The program is sponsored by Westchester County Parks.
This event is for all ages and will last approximately two hours.
Croton Point Park is located on Croton Point Avenue in Croton-on-Hudson and can be reached via the Croton Point Avenue exit off of Route 9.
