Scarsdale, NY - “Israel in the Media: A Radical Approach” will be the topic of a lecture to be given by Aryeh Green, the director of MediaCentral, on Sunday, September 14, at Westchester Reform Temple (WRT) in Scarsdale.
There will be a bagel breakfast sponsored by the temple’s Men’s Club starting at 10:30 a.m.; the lecture and a discussion will follow at 11 a.m.
MediaCentral is a Jerusalem center providing support services for journalists based in or visiting Israel, the Palestinian territories and the region. It operates as a non-profit, independent, media-liaison service whose goal is to ensure comprehensive, impartial coverage of Israel, the Arab-Israeli conflict and the region.
Aryeh Green was for many years a senior advisor to Natan Sharansky, a former member of the Knesset and Deputy Prime Minister of Israel. Green has lectured in universities and before groups in Israel, North America and Europe. Originally from Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, Green moved to Israel with his wife, Katie, in 1984. He has been published in Haaretz, the Jerusalem Post, and Washington Jewish Week, among other publications.
