Mt. Kisco, NY - May is the month to make mom a special card for her special day or to take a leisurely walk in the fresh air to watch the beautiful birds and the blooming flowers.
It’s also the time when sheep are shorn for the coming warm weather. All this and a special Spring Fest celebration can be experienced during May’s family fun at Muscoot Farm in Somers.
Birding at the Farm: The Spring Arrivals, Sunday May 6, 8 a.m.
Enjoy a morning walk in search of warblers and other spring residents. Local naturalist Jeanne Waful, will lead the hike. Wear sturdy shoes. If you have field guides and binoculars, please bring them.
Sheep Day, Sunday, May 13, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Come watch our sheep get their spring haircuts. Continue to enjoy the day by making Mother’s Day cards and small gifts for that special Mom, aunt or grandmother in your life.
May Hike, Sunday, May 20, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Take a leisurely hike in search of fauna and flora. Wear sturdy walking shoes.

Muscoot is a Westchester County Park located on Route 100 in Somers and can be reached via I-684, exit 6. Go west on Route 35 to Route 100 and turn left; the farm is a mile and a half ahead on the right. The farm is accessible to the disabled with assistance.
