 White Plains, NY - The Bryant Gardens Cooperative in White Plains, NY will hold its first ever Country Fair on Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm -- rain or shine -- at the Playground between 3 and 5 Bryant Crescent.
The Bryant Gardens Board of Directors invites residents, guests and its White Plains neighbors to take part in the Country Fair featuring Arts & Crafts, a Small Biz Expo, Snazzy Wheels Show, Fun-time Amusements for youngsters, and a Verizon FiOS raffle for a FREE flat screen TV.
Continuing the co-op's emphasis on Going Green, the Fair will include a visit by the Westchester County Veggie Van to promote energy awareness in children. And Con Edison education specialists Mike Collins and Chris Gallo will be on hand to talk with homeowners about saving money by saving energy.
Members of our new Caring and Sharing Community will discuss aging in place, book, dining, walking and theater groups, and neighbor-to-neighbor outreach. Residents can join at the Fair.
Residents will have coupons to exchange incandescent light bulbs for energy-efficient compact fluorescent bulbs, and will enjoy a Country Fair barbecue catered by the Fair Deal Cafe.
The Bryant Gardens Cooperative, located in White Plains, NY off Bryant Avenue, between Mamaroneck Ave and North Street, consists of fifteen two-story Colonial style garden apartment buildings, two on a cul-de-sac off Bryant Avenue, and the remaining buildings on Bryant Crescent, a private road. Originally built in the early 1950s, they were converted to cooperative ownership beginning with a non-eviction plan in 1981. The complex includes thirteen sets of unattached garages, three large parking lots, and a private park at the bow of the Crescent.
