19th Yorktown Community Day Announced |

Yorktown, NY - The Yorktown Parks and Recreation Department and the Yorktown Central School District are pleased to announce the 19th Annual Yorktown Community Day.
The event is scheduled for Saturday May 17 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm – on the campus of Mildred E. Strang Middle School. In case of inclement weather, all activities will be held inside.
The day has become very special for the community as it offers friends and neighbors the opportunity to relax, participate in fun and games while discovering the interesting activities that are happening around Yorktown.
Civic and school organizations, local businesses along with many community members combine their creative energy to make this a very special day. Activities scheduled include singing by the Golden Apple Chorus, dancing by “Little Stars", presentations with book signing by the Yorktown Historical Society, Westchester County’s recycling equipment including the Shred Mobile and Veggie Van, Yorktown’s emergency vehicles and highway equipment, Child ID services by the Yorktown Masons, and so much more.
The event is being supported in part by the Yorktown A&P, Yorktown Lions Club/Leos Club and the Yorktown PennySaver Media Group/North County News.
