Westchester Financial Planning Conference

Westchester Business NewsWhite Plains, NY - UJA-Federation of New York will hold its 18th Annual Westchester Estate, Tax & Financial Planning Conference on Thursday, May 29, 2008, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The conference, presented by UJA-Federation’s Planned Giving & Endowments Department, will take place at the Westchester Renaissance Hotel, 80 West Red Oak Lane, in White Plains.

The conference is chaired by Susan Taxin Baer, Esq., from the Law Offices of Susan Taxin Baer, and will feature experts in estate and financial planning. Suited to attorneys, accountants, and estate, tax, and financial-planning professionals, the event will include updates on elder law, estate planning, and charitable giving, as well as address such issues as professional ethics and client retention.

Participants can earn 9 CLLE/CPE/CFP credits. New York State attorneys can earn 9 CLE (nontransitional), including 8 PP and 1 ethics credit; and New York State CPAs can earn 9 CPE, including 8 general and 1 ethics credit.

Susan Porter, managing director of U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, will present the keynote lecture, “Exercising Discretion in Discretionary Trusts.”
