White Plains, NY - Morton’s The Steakhouse is kicking off its first “A Steak in Our Community,” a seven-night fundraiser to benefit a total of eight area nonprofit organizations.
Beginning August 3, eight local nonprofit organizations – Monday through Sunday – will reap a share of the proceeds at the White Plains restaurant location.
A sumptuous three-course meal (featuring a choice of salad, entrée and dessert) will be available to diners during the week for $75, with $25 of each dinner donated to that evening’s designated charity.
“This is a great opportunity for us to combine two things that, as a company, Morton’s takes great pride in: supporting the local community and creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests,” said Kim O'Donnell, sales and marketing manager at Morton’s White Plains location. “We hope to make this an annual event. There are so many deserving non-profit organizations in town, and we’re excited about working with eight organizations this time around.”
The lineup of nonprofits and their scheduled evenings are as follows:
Aug 3 Food Bank for Westchester
Aug 4 Gilda's Club Westchester
Aug 5 Police Benevolent Association of the City of White Plains & The White Plains Professional Firefighters Association
Aug 6 March of Dimes
Aug 7 Make a Wish of Hudson Valley
Aug 8 Blythedale Children's Hospital

Reservations for the evening of choice are recommended and can be made by calling 914-683-6101.
