 New Rochelle, NY - Simone Development Companies, a full service real estate investment company, has announced the appointment of Mario J. Tarantino as Director of Property Management and Leasing.
Mr. Tarantino has more than 25 years experience in managing Class A properties including corporate headquarters of Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, he was Senior Portfolio Manager at Grubb & Ellis and Transition Manager in connection with that company’s purchase of the former Union Carbide headquarters in Danbury, CT. Earlier in his career he managed the former Equitable headquarters building in New York City while at Tishman Speyer Properties.
At Simone, Mr. Tarantino is responsible for leasing and management of two of the company’s Class A office properties – Harrison Executive Park, a multi-building office park in Purchase, NY and One Sound Shore in Greenwich, CT.
Conveniently located on Westchester Avenue off I-287, the Harrison Executive Park comprises three modern office buildings with more than 135,000 square feet of office space on a 13-acre campus site. Plans call for the addition of a fourth building with 48,000 square feet of space. Amenities include on-site café, fitness center, state-of-the-art camera security with 24/7 building access and abundant parking. One Sound Shore, which is located on Exit 4 of I-95 in Greenwich, is a 62,000-square-foot corporate office building offering tenants a wide range of amenities. The building is the former headquarters of American Tobacco Company.
Mr. Tarantino, a resident of Stamford, attended Iona College where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in construction and facility management. He has been an active member of the Westchester Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association, having served on its Board and is currently Vice President.
