New Rochelle, NY - A group of restaurants from the ever growing “restaurant row” in downtown New Rochelle is joining forces with Trump Plaza luxury condominium, the New Rochelle Business Improvement District (BID), New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce and Regal Cinemas to lure Westchester area opera lovers to the city’s downtown.
The unique partnership is sponsoring a special event this fall called “Encore – Downtown New Rochelle” that will feature a simulcast of a Metropolitan Opera performance at Regal Cinema in New Roc City followed by a reception at Trump Plaza.
On Saturday, October 11, Regal Cinema at New Roc City will be showing a simulcast of the Metropolitan Opera performance of Richard Strauss' Salome. The first 250 ticket holders to attend the afternoon simulcast will be invited to a reception after the opera to be held at Trump Plaza. There they will be treated to a taste of the city’s culinary best as prepared by seven New Rochelle restaurants. The participating restaurants include Bella Bella Italian Cuisine, Cholo’s Kitchen Peruvian Café, Coromandel Cuisine of India, The Gnarly Vine Wine & Cheese Café, Mo’s New York Grill, Little Mexican Café and The Speckled Door. Wine is being provided by AOC Fine Wines of New Rochelle.
The October 11 event will be promoted at Regal Cinema’s simulcast of the Metropolitan Opera’s Gala Opening Night event scheduled for Monday, September 22.
“Trump Plaza is delighted to host the reception for this exciting event that showcases the many fabulous activities available in downtown New Rochelle. Whether it’s a night at the opera or an evening at one of the city’s fine restaurants, downtown New Rochelle has it all,” said Jessica Rohm, Managing Director of Cappelli Sales & Marketing, the selling agent for Trump Plaza.
The event is part of the New Rochelle BID's ongoing effort to promote the many activities in downtown New Rochelle including restaurants, entertainment and new luxury housing.
“Encore - Downtown New Rochelle is the first of a series of gala BID events to introduce the public to New Rochelle’s growing number of quality residential, dining, entertainment, and shopping opportunities. We want opera and movie fans to realize that when they are at Regal Cinema, great dining is just down the block,” said Ralph DiBart, Executive Director of the New Rochelle BID.
One of the tallest buildings in Westchester County, Trump Plaza offers spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline and Long Island Sound, and is conveniently located just one block from New Rochelle’s new rail Transportation Center and five minutes from I-95. Residences at Trump Plaza are priced from the mid $500’s to $1.7 million.
Trump Plaza is developed by Donald J. Trump and Louis R. Cappelli, President of Cappelli Enterprises, a leading real estate developer and general contractor in the Northeast. Mr. Cappelli has been the driving force behind the dramatic revival of New Rochelle with the development of the New Roc City retail and entertainment complex, Trump Plaza and soon to break ground LeCount Square.
