 White Plains, NY - Learning how to sell on eBay is the topic of the free workshop on Thursday, November 20 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the YWCA on 515 North Avenue, Lower Lounge in White Plains.
The workshop, “eBay Basics: Learn how to sell your product or attic treasures on eBay” is sponsored by the Westchester County Office for Women, the YWCA of Central Westchester, Mamapalooza, and the Women’s Enterprise and Development Center (WEDC). It is the third in a new series called, “A Woman’s Point of View…Workshops on Life, Health & Wealth coordinated by the Westchester County Office for Women.
Trainers from the U.S. Postal Service will give an overview on how to negotiate the on-line auction house eBay. They will cover the basics from photographing and downloading a product to putting it on-line, how the bidding process works, setting an attractive starting price and the best ways to safely pack and ship merchandise. They will also cover the “Buy it Now” option for those who are interested in buying as well as selling.
Ann Marie Damashek, owner of AM-PM Auctions, a company which helps people sell items on e-Bay, will provide expert advice on the best ways to get the highest bids from eBay buyers. She will guide participants as they practice writing irresistible descriptions of items they hope to sell on eBay.
Persephone Zill, WEDC’s Program Specialist and Business Counselor, will give an overview of the essentials of starting a small business and information about WEDC’s entrepreneurial training programs and services.
