Westchester Business NewsWhite Plains, NY - The National Women's In Network (NWIN), a growing diverse group of women united by common personal, professional and community goals, announced it will host an evening of fine dining, education and fundraising at Crabtree’s Kittle House in Chappaqua, NY on Tuesday, October 7 from 6-9pm.

RSVP and advance payment ($50 for non-members, $45 for members) requested by September 20th.

“This is a special event for NWIN and the Putnam/N. Westchester chapter, in particular,” said Lisa Kaslyn, NWIN district leader.  As part of our promise to give back to the community, we announced our intent to provide charitable support to the Putnam/N. Westchester Women’s Resource Center last May.  By partnering with the NWIN lower Westchester chapter, we believe this event will build significant awareness and drive donations that will truly help the Women’s Resource Center in its efforts to rescue and stabilize women and children who have been traumatized by domestic violence, added Kaslyn.”

What Women Want
Businesses of all sizes are looking to the Internet to generate awareness, build their brand and reach out to their consumers, clients, investors, peers and key influencers.  “The women in our network are smart; they understand the value of making winning connections,” said Kaslyn.  “What they aren’t getting, particularly those of the boomer generation, is what to do once they’ve built a website or after they’ve joined LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter, they’re asking, now what?”  Perplexed by an array of buzzwords, such as blogs, podcasts, and search engine optimization, enterprising women are looking for some grounded advice and useful tips and information that they can implement to become more engaged in the era of digital marketing.

NWIN Education Conference & Fundraiser for Putnam/N. Westchester Women’s Resource Center
The event program features a keynote address from three-time author and president, PFS Marketwyse, Deirdre Breakenridge.  Deirdre’s latest book, “PR 2.0 New Media, New Tools, New Audiences,” explores the phenomenon of social networking and its affect on the way businesses communicate to consumers.  Laura Spadafino, principal partner, Search Engine Academy NY Metro and 3rd Angle Technology, will give attendees a crash course in search engine optimization and a web marketing primer.  Ann Ellsworth, executive director, Putnam/N. Westchester Women’s Resource Center, leads this organization’s outreach efforts.  Ann will discuss how her organization is helping women and children of domestic violence stabilize their environment and regain their lives.
