 New York, NY - PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP announced that Mamaroneck, NY resident, Juan Pujadas, has been appointed to the role of Global Leader of the Advisory Practice.
Mr. Pujadas will also remain in his role as U.S. Leader of the Advisory Practice.
Mr. Pujadas has spent much of his career in financial services and is experienced in many markets around the world. He has led the firm’s U.S. Advisory Practice since its creation in 2004.
Prior to taking over the leadership of the U.S. Advisory Practice, Mr. Pujadas held a number of senior management positions in the U.S. firm including leading the Global Risk Management Solutions (GRMS) practice for the Americas, the Financial Services GRMS practice and the global Financial Risk Management Group. In all of these roles he was responsible for providing advice on risk management and shareholder value as well as financial risk management, advisory, and information technology services to financial institutions.

From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Pujadas was the Chief Risk Officer of Santander Investment. Before joining Santander, Mr. Pujadas was a Partner in the Capital Markets and Treasury Group of Price Waterhouse’s U.S. Firm’s Financial Services Industry Practice, specializing in the development and application of financial and information technology to balance sheet risk management and capital markets and treasury activities. He was the firm’s leading professional in the area of market risk management and derivative products.
Mr. Pujadas holds a B.S. in Economics and Finance from The Wharton School of Commerce, and Finance from the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Applied Science, Computer Engineering from the College of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Pennsylvania. He was a director of the International Swaps and Derivative Association (ISDA), where he was involved in a number of its industry committees. He was a founding director of FpML.org, an industry group responsible for setting data standards for the exchange of derivatives and risk management information online, now part of ISDA. Mr. Pujadas is a former member of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council.
