Mt. Kisco, NY - Now that you’ve made it through the vast excesses of holiday entertaining, get back to basics with all the farm fresh produce and food products offered by New York State farmers during the indoor Farmers Market on Sunday, January 4, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.
The Farmers Market comprises more than 30 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, pasture-raised meats and artisan cheeses, along with a host of baked desserts, bread and quiches. It is offered on Sundays once a month through March of 2009.
To add to the festivities, entertainment for the market will be provided by musicians from Tribes Hill community. The band Spuyten Duyvil plays original and cleverly recycled alternative folk, traditional and acoustic music. Andrew V. Craig will perform his own unique blend of jazz, Brazilian Bossa Nova and pop folk. There will also be performances by Sandy Shore and acclaimed singer-songwriter Fred Gillen, Junior.
Admission is free; parking is $4 at the County Center lot. A discount parking coupon is available online at www.countycenter.biz.
Dates for the upcoming Farmers Markets are Sundays, February 8 and March 15, 2009.
