Mt. Kisco, NY - James R. Cotto, Managing Director-Investments with the Cotto & Padovani Financial Strategies Group of Wachovia Securities in Mt. Kisco, has been named to the Research magazine Advisor Hall of Fame.
One of only five financial advisors in the United States to be recognized this year by Research, a leading industry publication, Cotto passed a rigorous screening process that involved key criteria such as industry experience, assets under management and superior client service. Other criteria involved in selecting members of this exclusive group include peer recognition and community involvement.
"James is an extraordinary professional, leader and caring individual who has earned and clearly deserves this distinction," said James Hays, president of the Private Client Group of Wachovia Securities. "By bringing his experience, talent and concern to bear on behalf of his clients, his team, his community and his family, James has become a beacon for all who want to pursue not just a successful career, but a successful life. James epitomizes the qualities that make Wachovia Securities successful and we are extremely proud to have him as part of our firm" he said.
Cotto and his partner Paul Padovani joined Wachovia Securities from Merrill Lynch in 2001, taking the opportunity of their move to build a team and a practice precisely suited and well equipped to address the needs of clients. In a profile accompanying the announcement of Cottn's selection to the magazind's hall of fame, writer Ellen Uzelac discusses the influences that shaped his life, approach to business and his commitment to philanthropy. The article notes that Cotto credits the success of his practice to the breadth of experience on his team and defines his success in human rather than financial terms.
