West Nyack, NY - All Bright Electric announced that it has acquired Mard Electric Contracting Corp. of Denville, N.J., Eastern Electric Contracting Corp. of White Plains, N.Y. and Hammond Electric, Inc. of Mount Kisco, N.Y.
The transactions will add 50 professionals to All Bright’s current staff of 115. The companies’ offices will be consolidated within All Bright’s main location in West Nyack.
Founded in 1969, All Bright is one of the leading electrical contractors in the Hudson Valley with clients throughout the tri-state area.
“These acquisitions are a major step in our strategic expansion into New Jersey and Westchester County,” said Howard Hellman, All Bright’s chairman and founder. “We’ve identified these markets as prime areas where we can continue to grow our business. We are very excited about this expansion.”
The acquisitions follow three others by All Bright. In 2000, it acquired Dalbar Electric in Port Chester, N.Y. and then added Stack Electric of Yonkers, N.Y., and Weisblatt Electric of Newburgh, N.Y. in 2005.
“The best way to grow a company is to acquire good companies that both complement and supplement your existing services,” said Hellman. “We are not only growing our core business – we’re enhancing the high-quality people resources that our customers have come to expect. We will continue to pursue acquisitions that will help penetrate new markets.”
All Bright’s current projects include a telemetry upgrade for the Rockland County Sewer District, enabling remote monitoring of 23 pump stations from the main sewer plant, a new Lowes Home Store in Clarkstown, facilities upgrades at Reader’s Digest in Pleasantville, N.Y., electrical work for a 50,000-square-foot addition to the Salvation Army regional headquarters in West Nyack and several high rise residential projects in Rockland and Westchester.
Completed projects include construction of the air traffic control tower and General Electric hangar at Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, N.Y., Fiber optic motor control on the Tappan Zee Bridge, Emergency room renovations at St Luke’s and Cornwall hospitals, Congers Train Station, multiple streetscape lighting throughout Rockland and district-wide alterations in the Clarkstown Central School District in West Nyack, N.Y.
