White Plains, NY - The African American Chamber of Commerce of Westchester and Rockland, Inc. launched an informative television show, "The Chamber Reports," on Friday, November 21, 2008.
The shows will be designed to inform the public about the many valuable services that the Chamber provides and will also introduce people who will talk about their professions. It can be seen on White Plains CableVision on channel 76 or Verizon Cable on channel 45 at 9:30 P.M.
The Chamber is very excited about the launching of this program, especially at this time when the economy is in a downturn. Robin Douglas, founder and president, feels that it is a good time to inform the public of what kinds of employment is available and how to prepare for future employment.
The first guest speaker is Moselle Goodwin, owner of Goodwin Consultants, who discusses the benefits she has received as a Chamber member for a little over a year. In addition, she has become an avid Chamber supporter and a volunteer. Ms. Goodwin owns a small business which provides services to larger businesses.
The AACCWR was established June 28, 1996 as an independent not-for-profit agency to aid, counsel and protect the interest of the African American business concerns. The mission, according to Ms. Douglas, founder and president, is to preserve competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of Westchester and Rockland Counties.
