It is no secret that we are living in a generation that wishes to be healthier and live cleaner than our ancestors. We frequent health food stores looking for organic foods and nutritional supplements and are part of the "green" generation regarding our environment. go to your doctor within the course of a year, how many times are you going to the doctor because you are healthy? If you have knee pain, how does your doctor treat it - with an anti-inflammatory prescription medication? And, many of us know that the anti-inflammatory works...or does it just mask the underlying cause of the pain? We are also products of a society that constantly strives to find that elusive magic bullet of health...a weight loss pill, an impotence pill, a blood pressure pill, a cholesterol pill...and the list goes on. How many of you are aware that many natural alternatives and simple lifestyle changes can combat the very disease symptoms we desire to treat in order to live longer and live healthier in a world filled with chemical, physical and emotional stressors? The majority of insurance companies do not pay for homeopathy, acupuncture, nutritional supplements, or chiropractic wellness visits. But, they will pay for your prescription medication! Wouldn't it just be better if we parked the car further away from a store, took the stairs instead of the elevator, added some fruit, vegetables, and grains to our diet and got proper rest every night?
